home visit...

I visited Mrs. Peterson today. I asked her how Mr. Peterson was. He is in a nursing home right now for his dementia symptoms from his Parkinson Disease. He was an apprentice for Frank Lloyd Wright. Apparently he still remembers the past quite well. He is having a hard time learning new things, like using a walker and such...

I met these wonderful people through Jean Larson, another window washing customer. I said a prayer with Mrs. Peterson last year. I think I will bring her a little writing about healing, or love, or such next time I visit her. For now, I have to focus on getting to the nursing home sometime, she told me that she would let him know that I will be stopping by soon. Maybe I will give him a lil framed prayer as well or something...

Thanks for all the love to day Nightingale!

Mommy and Daddy...

I am at my parents house... I love doing things for them... I fixed the dishwasher and it was sooo funny/cute what my mom said.. she was whispering, while my Dad was in the other room "thank you thank you thank you" Which was easily interpreted as, "Your father always says he will get to it, but in all actuality, he is not well and is never going to get around to the dang thing... So, THANK YOU!"

My father isn't the type to call a handy man, he is pretty handy himself but he is getting older and more is in poor health... I think it would just be crappy for him if he had to call one, like "great, now I have to admit that I can not do it...". I love him dearly. Instead I will continue to keep coming around and take interest in the deficiencies of the house... I realize, from my Mom's reaction that it is good for her, I know its a weight off my Dad's shoulders as well, he just wouldn't admit it... Silly Dad... How amazing that I have such wonderful parents to serve... I really loved talking to Afife about our responsibility to our parents a couple months back... It really helped me see things the right way... I owe that woman a lot for her great friendship. I now know better how to love my parents in action.

I can see Baha'u'llah working in my life EVERY day... I am reading Selections from the Writings of the Bab... Amazing... morn and eve, unless there is another book from the writings closer and I am really tired :-)

Tests are easier to pass when you focus on what you are supposed to focus on... they seem to simply disappear... I am regulating my need to be a dummy by replacing it with service, and prayer, and creating deeper friendships. I love it. It is me... The one I always knew was inside...

Thanks God.

Things I remember from my childhood...

I just added the "Things I remember..." section off to the right of the screen... It got me thinking, what are some of the things you remember that were the same or different than mine...

Just was thinking it would be cool to write a spoken word piece on this topic...

Anyways, COMMENT AWAY!

Scary. That is the title of my first movie ever.

Ahhhh!!! My first movie, how precious!

So, now that I am on the wagon, where is the band?

Hello blog. I am Benjamin. I am YOUR new user.

Cheers to getting to know people on a deeper level... That is what my day was spent doing. I didn't I reflected with a friend earlier that my day wasn't productive at all... But after a thought I really think it was! Glad I thought about it... :-)

Part of even not being home is that I am re-arranging my room and I didn't want to do it, so I went somewhere else... Woops!

I will be home this week, beginning tomorrow night. I told my bro (Andy) today, the rest of my family doesn't know (Mom, Dad and Sis Amy). I am sure they will be pleased, we always love seeing each other. Gone are the days we would argue and fuss, we are really learning to much more "present" with each other since Mom and Dad got real sick. I can see the wisdom in what God presents for my life, just that usually it takes quite a bit of time to get there... Thanks Allah.
